Things are getting hands-on in Freshman Biology! Classes are building models of Electron Transport Chains in Mitochondria; this is part of cellular respiration and it’s the way that cells produce energy. After their partner models are completed, students walk around to evaluate and vote on which model was the best!
The innovative faculty at Bishop are always finding new ways to teach the subjects they love. This is just one of the many things that make Bishop special!
Our very own Dr. Murray and his service dog Hadley were featured on the Southeastern Guide Dogs website! If you've visited campus lately, you'd know that Hadley is a unique part of the Bishop family. We can't even begin to explain the positive impact she has on our students. #WeAreBishop ... See MoreSee Less
Congratulations to the January Student of the Month, Luke Detlor! Luke is part of the graduating Class of 2018. He is a hardworking and dedicated student whose humility has made him a great example for all Bishop students.
One of our proudest moments at Bishop McLaughlin is when we hear about alumni success. This comes in all different forms, from students being drafted into Major League Baseball to the academic achievements and accolades our students gain in college.
On January 30th, Bishop McLaughlin was informed of an outstanding achievement by a Class of 2017 Alum. David P. Torgerson was named to the dean's list in the University of Notre Dame's First Year of Studies for outstanding scholarship in the Fall 2017 semester.
This achievement honors Notre Dame students who represent the top 30 percent of students in their college.
Congratulations to David and to all of our outstanding alumni on their many achievements.
